Adjusting the load-sense regulator on an A10V pump
No pressure in the system after installing an A10V pump? Four steps to correctly adjust the load-sense regulator and the main pressure.
Installing the A10V pump went smoothly, yet there is no pressure in the system. Chances are the pump has not been adjusted correctly yet. In this R&S lesson we explain how to adjust the load-sense regulator and the main pressure of an A10V pump.
Before you start: make sure you have a safe working situation.
Step 1: Loosen the lock nuts of both screws. Turn both screws all the way out until you no longer feel resistance.
Step 2: Turn the load-sense regulator (the by-pass regulator) all the way in, then a quarter turn back. The controller is now set as a pressure regulator. Next, set the main pressure.
Step 3: Set the main pressure with the large screw. Turn it in to the desired value; with a Hydrotechnik measuring unit this is easy to read. Then secure the screw by tightening the lock nut.
Step 4: Set the by-pass pressure. Turn the small screw all the way back until you feel no resistance, then turn it in again to the desired value. Secure this screw with its lock nut as well.
If you have completed all steps and there are no other problems, the system should now work again. The accompanying video (with English subtitles) can be found among our instruction videos.
